Friends of Old Woman Creek Association, Inc. (FOWC), a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization organized under the laws of the State of Ohio, encourages the solicitation and acceptance of gifts to or for the benefit of FOWC for purposes that will help FOWC to further and fulfill its mission.

FOWC Board of Directors have a fiduciary duty to assure that FOWC’s assets are used efficiently and protected from potential liabilities and diversion to purposes other than those that further FOWC’s goals. The following guidelines govern acceptance of gifts made to FOWC or for the benefit of any of its programs.

Key principles include safeguarding the confidentiality of the donor relationship, providing full disclosure to the donor, and ensuring that gifts are recorded, allocated and used according to the donor intent and designation.

FOWC commits to appropriate and timely acknowledgment and recognition for gifts and donations.

All FOWC solicitations for donations are made by FOWC volunteers and will not be handled by hired solicitors.

FOWC commits to never selling, renting, or exchanging donor lists with individuals or organizations.

All donations will be handled with respect and will honor all requests for confidentiality.

All donors will have the opportunity to delete their names from the FOWC mailing list or to be identified as anonymous.
